Inclusive Classroms

At Y Schools Queensland, we believe in nurturing the whole student, not just academically, but also emotionally and socially.

Our inclusive classrooms prioritise building authentic and positive relationships between teachers and students, fostering a sense of connection and belonging that is essential for growth and development.

Each classroom is supported by dedicated youth workers, ensuring that every student feels supported and valued throughout their educational journey.

Recognising that every student has unique needs and abilities, all learning at Y Schools Queensland is differentiated through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure all students are supported and challenged.

The MTSS framework is an evidence-based approach to ensure that all students receive the support they need in order to achieve their full academic potential and achieve their goals.

In line with our commitment to holistic learning, our teachers implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL), allowing students to explore content and demonstrate skills in diverse ways and real-world contexts.

This approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning, fostering independence and resilience that will serve them well beyond the classroom.

To ensure that our teaching practices remain innovative and effective, our teachers regularly attend professional learning sessions, staying up-to-date with evidence-based best practices.

By continuously evolving and improving our approach to education, we are better equipped to support our students in achieving their full potential and lifelong wellbeing.

Join us at Y Schools Queensland!

Together, we will inspire and support each student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, laying the foundation for a future filled with success.
