Eligibility & Enrolment Process
BEFORE YOU APPLY
The Y Schools is a secondary alternative school catering to students from Year 7 to Year 12.
At Y Schools Queensland, we welcome all students, regardless of background, ability, gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.
Our alternative programs are designed for students who may find mainstream schooling challenging, and all enrolments require a referral.
Prospective students are asked to attend an interview so we can understand their needs and support them effectively. For students requiring higher levels of support, we will work with families to determine how our programs can best accommodate them. If a year level is full, students will be placed on a waiting list.
Enrolment applications are preferred at the beginning of each school term, however, student referrals are welcome throughout the year. Check our school term dates here. The collection, use and disclosure of information about a student or prospective student is protected by the provisions of the Y Queensland’s Privacy Policy.
