ALTERNATIVE SCHOOLS PROGRAMS FOR YEAR 7 TO YEAR 12

Y Schools Queensland provides adjusted educational programs for secondary students (Year 7-12) who would benefit from an alternative learning environment and a high degree of wrap around wellbeing support.

With 11 campuses across Queensland including Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands, Moreton Bay and Bundaberg, Y Schools Queensland supports students on their future pathways. We focus on taking the time to provide individual support for students who would otherwise struggle in the mainstream education system.

We believe in the power of inspired young people. Y Schools Queensland draws on our fundamental values of honesty, responsibility, respect, and caring, to create a nurturing learning environment to support our students in preparing for their life post-school.

Not every child can thrive in school. At the Y Schools, we shape learning around the student, so they’ll feel seen and heard. It’s a chance to reset, re-engage and rediscover the joys of education.

Together we’ll see how high they can fly. We’ll see them at the Y.

At Y Schools Queensland, inclusion means more than just a seat at the table, it means having a voice that carries. We believe that when wellbeing and inclusion come first, students thrive. We are committed to ensuring every student is seen and valued for who they are, giving them the power to speak up, stand out, and shape their own path.

ALTERNATIVE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS THAT FOCUS ON INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS

Y Schools Queensland focuses on taking the time to provide individualised support for students. Although each campus is based on the same core values, philosophies and frameworks, each individual community requires its own contextualised approach to effectively cater for the unique needs of local environments, cultures, demographics, and employment demands.

To do this successfully, we invest in an interdisciplinary model that facilitates the development of strong connections within each local community.

Y Schools Queensland operates two types of campuses: Junior Campuses (Year 7-9) and Senior Campuses (Year 10-12).

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE

The safety and protection of children and young people is paramount. We are committed to safeguarding children and young people through stringent recruitment processes, child safe practices, training, support and staff development. We are independently reviewed by the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) to ensure our services are safe for all children and young people.
