Y Schools Bundaberg Redlands Junior in Victoria Point

Year 7 – Year 9

Y Schools Redlands Junior offers an inclusive, supportive environment where every student is encouraged to thrive. Our flexible, friendly classrooms and specialised spaces for creative, physical, and practical learning set us apart from traditional schools.

Students benefit from unique access to facilities such as the Y gym, pool, gymnastics centre, and an industry-grade home economics kitchen. At our school, education is hands-on, personalised, and designed to help every young person grow academically, socially, and personally.

WHAT MAKES Y SCHOOLS REDLANDS JUNIOR DIFFERENT

Alternative Learning Designed for Every Student

At Y Schools Redlands Junior, we offer personalised learning programs that break from the one-size-fits-all model of traditional schools. Our approach aligns with each student’s interests and the opportunities available within the local community, blending academic growth with hands-on, experiential learning to support development in every area.

What sets us apart is our strong community focus. We design culturally relevant programs in partnership with local organisations and First Nations community members, recognising the Quandamooka people as the traditional custodians of the land. Our holistic wellbeing support, including family services, counselling, case management, and personal development programs, ensures students thrive both in and out of the classroom.

We champion continuous growth and lifelong learning. Our staff regularly engage in professional development to stay at the forefront of innovative teaching practices. At our school, success is personal, progress is celebrated, and education is a transformative journey tailored to each young person.

MEET OUR HEAD OF CAMPUS

MONE COATS-ROSS

Hi, I’m the Head of School at Y Schools Queensland Redlands Junior, and I’ve been working in education for nearly 10 years. My journey has been focused on supporting young people who face learning and engagement challenges. With a background in adolescent psychology and neuroscience, I’m passionate about creating inclusive environments where every student can feel valued and supported.

What drives me is a deep love of learning and the belief that young people who experience the most adversity deserve the most committed and skilled educators. At Redlands Junior, I’m dedicated to fostering a place of growth, change, and progress, where students can succeed in their own way. I believe that success looks different for each individual, and my goal is to ensure every young person has the opportunity to reach their potential.

I invite families and prospective students to come and see what we’re all about. At Redlands Junior, we celebrate the unique strengths of every student, and we work closely with families to ensure a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
