Redlands Junior Campus

WATCH OUR SNEAK PEAK AND SEE WHAT MAKES A Y SCHOOLS QUEENSLAND CAMPUS UNIQUE

At Y Schools Queensland Redlands Junior, our campus thrives as a welcoming and inclusive community where every student feels encouraged to be themselves.

We promote collaboration, respect, and mutual understanding among students and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere. With a growth mindset focused on reflection, restoration, and reconciliation, we help students learn from mistakes and guide them towards positive change.

The physical environment at our campus is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our young people and the community. Our modern facilities include flexible, sensory-friendly classrooms and specialised areas for creative and physical development. As part of the Y Schools Redlands complex, we benefit from access to the Y Gym, Gymnastics, pool, and indoor sports facilities, all within close proximity.

With additional amenities such as a manual arts and mechanical workshop, an industry-grade home economics kitchen, and a well-equipped community centre, our campus offers a dynamic learning space unlike any other.

Our personalised learning programs are designed to align with the unique interests of our students and the opportunities within the local community. By focusing on both academic improvement and experiential learning, we help students flourish across all areas of development.

We take pride in actively engaging with the local community to design culturally relevant programs that respond to its unique demographics. Our focus on wellbeing includes a variety of family support services, student counselling, case management, and personal development programs. We also work closely with local First Nations community members, acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land, Quandamooka, and their deep connections to land, sea, and community.

At Y Schools Redlands Junior, we believe in continuous improvement and lifelong learning. Our staff regularly participate in professional development, ensuring we remain at the forefront of educational best practices. We are a place of growth, change, and progress for young people, where success is achievable for all, and it takes on a different meaning for each individual.

MEET OUR HEAD OF CAMPUS

MONE COATS-ROSS

Hi, I’m the Head of School at Y Schools Queensland Redlands Junior, and I’ve been working in education for nearly 10 years. My journey has been focused on supporting young people who face learning and engagement challenges. With a background in adolescent psychology and neuroscience, I’m passionate about creating inclusive environments where every student can feel valued and supported.

What drives me is a deep love of learning and the belief that young people who experience the most adversity deserve the most committed and skilled educators. At Redlands Junior, I’m dedicated to fostering a place of growth, change, and progress, where students can succeed in their own way. I believe that success looks different for each individual, and my goal is to ensure every young person has the opportunity to reach their potential.

I invite families and prospective students to come and see what we’re all about. At Redlands Junior, we celebrate the unique strengths of every student, and we work closely with families to ensure a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
