Y Schools Ipswich Junior: Grounded Care, Positive Futures.

Year 7 – Year 9

At Y Schools Ipswich Junior, we offer a vibrant and welcoming environment where every Year 7–9 student feels supported, safe, and ready to learn. We focus on building strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging, ensuring each young person is encouraged to grow both academically and personally.

Located within the Bundamba TAFE precinct, our campus makes the most of its compact setting with dynamic, purpose-designed spaces that promote engagement and confidence. Every area is created with students in mind, supporting practical, hands-on learning and nurturing the individual development of every learner.

WHAT MAKES Y SCHOOLS IPSWICH JUNIOR DIFFERENT

Holistic Learning with Real-World Connections

At Y Schools Ipswich Junior, we take a holistic approach that supports students’ body, mind, and spirit. Our hands-on programs such as Barista training, Barbering, Beauty, and Careers give students practical skills and real industry exposure, while initiatives like the Y Breakfast Program ensure their wellbeing is fully supported.

We strengthen school & community connections through family engagement events and partnerships with organisations like Wounded Heroes, the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce, and local multicultural groups. These opportunities enrich learning and empower students to make a positive impact.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our recent recognition, including a TEACHX Award nomination for our Teacher in Charge and a finalist position in the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce Business Award for Education and Training.
